HISTORICAL ACTION AND ROMANCE FROM ONE OF JAPAN'S MOST BELOVED CREATORS Kagome is a modern Japanese high-school girl. Never the type to believe in myths and legends, her world view dramatically changes when, one day, she's pulled out of her own time and into another There, in Japan's ancient past, Kagome discovers more than a few of those dusty old legends are true, and that her destiny is linked to one legendary creature in particular- the dog-like half-demon called Inu-Yasha! That same trick of fate also ties them both to the Shikon Jewel, or "Jewel of Four Souls," the smallest shard of which can give the user unimaginable dower. CAST-OFF HEART The fight against the mysterious Man-With-No-Face continues. Muso, though easily dismissed as just another incarnation of Naraku, appears to be impervious to his will. Who is this new incarnation, and what is his connection to Inu-Yasha and Kikyo? Later, Inu-Yasha and the others head to the coast in search of a way to make Tetsusaiga more powerful. But if the only way to power-up is to kill a young outcast half-demon girl, Inu-Yasha might not have the stomach to go through with it....
